For more than four decades, speaker Lynne Twist has worked at the intersection of money, meaning, and social change. A global activist, author, and consultant, she has devoted her career to alleviating poverty, ending world hunger, empowering women and girls, advancing social justice, and protecting the environment. Her work spans grassroots communities, nonprofit leaders, global philanthropists, and international institutions, giving her an unusually deep understanding of how people relate to money and how that relationship shapes societies.
Twist’s perspective was forged in the field. She has worked alongside humanitarian figures in settings ranging from Mother Teresa’s work in Calcutta to refugee camps in Ethiopia and Amazon rainforest communities defending their territory. That on-the-ground experience taught her to draw clear connections between how resources are allocated, the values people hold, and collective wellbeing.
She is the founder of the Soul of Money Institute, a global platform that helps individuals and organizations align their financial resources with their deepest values. Through workshops, retreats, coaching, and keynotes, she has worked with more than 100,000 people across over 50 countries on conscious philanthropy, strategic visioning, fundraising with integrity, and building a healthy relationship with money. She is also a co-founder of the Pachamama Alliance, which partners with Indigenous peoples of the Amazon.
Her writing has shaped contemporary thinking on money and purpose. As one of Aurum’s bestselling author speakers, she wrote the award-winning classic The Soul of Money, translated into nine languages, and more recently Living a Committed Life, a guide to finding freedom in a purpose larger than oneself.
As a speaker, Lynne Twist brings clarity to complex conversations about resources, integrity, and systems change, helping leaders and teams move beyond transactional thinking to the deeper human motivations that drive sustainable impact. Learn more through the Soul of Money Institute.
Based on her landmark book, this keynote by Lynne Twist examines how a culture of scarcity quietly limits human potential and narrows what we believe is possible. She explores how deep-seated beliefs about money shape personal choices, organizational behavior, and entire systems.
Audiences are guided to reframe their financial story, find a sense of sufficiency, and align resources with values in ways that expand possibility rather than restrict it.
This session invites leaders to consider how commitment to a purpose larger than oneself unlocks clarity, strength, and transformative action. Drawing on decades of global experience, speaker Lynne Twist shows how taking a stand, even in small ways, connects people to inner and outer resources they did not know they had.
The talk encourages audiences to move from transactional thinking toward wholehearted engagement that sustains both impact and personal fulfillment.
Across more than forty years, speaker Lynne Twist has worked with communities worldwide to protect the natural world, defend human dignity, and transform how people relate to money and resources. This keynote explores the inner and outer landscape of humanity.
She shows how compassion, connection, and reverence for the living world can guide ethical decision-making, strengthen community, and sustain long-term stewardship.
Drawing on her work with Indigenous women in the Amazon and with Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Lynne Twist offers a visionary view of this century as a turning point for women's leadership across global systems.
She explores why empowering women and girls is among the most effective strategies for ending hunger and advancing equity, and how that shift can build partnerships that bring the world into greater balance.
