Across his career he has shipped more than 100 titles tied to iconic franchises including Star Wars, Marvel, Disney and The Matrix, generating over $1.5 billion in lifetime revenue.
Today, Leo serves as Independent Director of OnMobile Global Ltd. (NSE: ONMOBILE), a publicly listed mobile entertainment company operating in more than 60 countries; Venture Partner at Griffin Gaming Partners, a fund with over $1.5 billion in assets under management; and President and Co-Founder of a mobile gaming studio building the next generation of global hits. He chairs Games for Change, serves on the boards of Maestro Media and The Strong National Museum of Play, and is a Trustee of Occidental College.
He holds an MBA from USC Marshall, a BA from Occidental College, and an AI Strategy certification from MIT CSAIL. As a speaker, Leo Olebe gives senior audiences a rare 360-degree view of modern technology leadership: how to operate at platform scale, govern in the exponential AI era, and build for the next billion users emerging from Africa and other high-growth regions. Attendees leave with practical frameworks for leading through the AI reset, designing global growth strategies, and harnessing play, culture and community as drivers of long-term commercial and societal value.
A signature talk drawing on 25+ years inside Microsoft, Google, YouTube, Meta and Disney. Leo shares the decisions, mistakes and turning points behind building billion-dollar businesses for trillion-dollar companies, and the leadership principles that travel across cultures, products and eras. A masterclass for executives navigating complexity, scale and rapid change.
Featured at GDC 2026, this talk reframes gaming as one of the most powerful diplomatic forces of our time. Leo shows how play connects economies, generations and cultures, and how leaders in business, media and policy can harness interactive entertainment as a tool for cooperation, soft power and shared human progress.
Drawing on his work scaling Xbox, YouTube Gaming and Google Play to hundreds of millions of users (and featured at GDC 2025), Leo lays out the operating playbook for global platform growth. He covers product, partnerships, monetization and culture, and reveals what senior leaders most often get wrong when expanding beyond their home market.
A high-conviction perspective on how organizations must transform in the AI era, from agentic workflows on the frontline to board-level governance. Grounded in his MIT CSAIL AI strategy training and operating experience at the largest tech companies in the world, Leo helps leaders move from AI experimentation to true enterprise reinvention.
Born in Nairobi and shaped by a global career, Leo argues that the next era of digital culture will be written in Africa and other high-growth regions. He explores demographic shifts, AI-enabled creation, mobile-first behavior and the implications for platforms, brands, investors and policymakers preparing for a fundamentally different consumer landscape.
A focused talk for directors, executives and investors. Drawing on his work as Independent Director of a public company and venture partner at a $1.5B+ AUM fund, Leo offers practical governance frameworks for boards overseeing companies operating at AI speed, where risk, opportunity and reputational stakes are moving faster than traditional oversight models can handle.
