Dr. Majid Fotuhi is a Harvard- and Johns Hopkins-trained neurologist and neuroscientist who has devoted more than three decades to understanding why some people remain mentally sharp into their eighties and nineties while others experience cognitive decline — and what any person can do, starting today, to build a stronger, more resilient brain. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University and his MD cum laude from Harvard Medical School as a member of the prestigious Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, before completing his neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins’ Mind/Brain Institute and as Adjunct Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at George Washington University, and continues to teach at Harvard Medical School.
Healthcare speaker Dr. Majid Fotuhi is best known for his pioneering 12-week Brain Fitness Program — a clinically validated, multidisciplinary approach to cognitive enhancement that integrates fitness, nutrition, sleep, mindset, and brain training. Published results in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease and the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease Reports, show that more than 80% of participants achieve measurable improvements in memory, focus, and cognitive clarity. Most strikingly, MRI scans of elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment showed a 3% increase in hippocampal volume — the brain region most critical for learning and memory — after completing the program. The results have been independently documented across populations dealing with aging-related memory loss, concussion recovery, and ADHD.
Dr. Fotuhi’s research and clinical experience have been published in some of the world’s most respected scientific journals, including The Lancet, Nature, Neurology, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is the author of multiple books, including The Memory Cure and Boost Your Brain, and his most recent work, The Invincible Brain: The Clinically Proven Plan to Age-Proof Your Brain and Stay Sharp for Life (Harper Wave), became a USA Today bestseller. The book has earned praise from CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, New York Times bestselling author Dr. David Perlmutter, and Dr. John Ratey, author of Spark. Dr. Fotuhi has been featured on the Today Show, ABC News, CNN, PBS, Live with Kelly & Mark, Tamron Hall, Fox News, and in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal, among more than 50 major media outlets worldwide.
As a speaker, Dr. Majid Fotuhi transforms how audiences think about the aging brain — replacing fear and fatalism with science-backed optimism and actionable strategy. He has delivered keynotes at Harvard Medical School, YPO, Forbes, KPMG, MDVIP, and major organizations across more than 20 countries, including a TEDx talk in the Philippines. His presentations blend cutting-edge neuroscience with practical tools that audiences can implement immediately, making him one of the most sought-after voices in brain health, longevity, and peak cognitive performance for corporate, healthcare, and leadership audiences alike.
Drawing on his landmark Brain Fitness Program, Dr. Fotuhi walks audiences through the five evidence-based pillars — fitness, sleep, nutrition, mindset, and brain training — that drive measurable improvements in memory, focus, and cognitive resilience. This keynote reframes memory loss as neither inevitable nor irreversible, and equips attendees with a concrete, science-backed roadmap to protect and enhance their cognitive performance starting today. Backed by peer-reviewed research and real patient outcomes, including documented MRI evidence of hippocampal growth.
A compelling reframe of aging as an opportunity for cognitive growth rather than inevitable decline. Dr. Fotuhi introduces the concept of "super-aging" — the neuroscience behind people whose brains perform decades younger than their biological age — and shares eight daily habits proven to extend longevity and enhance brain function. Drawing on decades of clinical practice and research, he shows audiences that the brain's best years are not necessarily behind them, but ahead.
Rooted in his USA Today bestseller of the same name, this keynote explores the brain's remarkable capacity for change and regeneration across the lifespan. Dr. Fotuhi unpacks the science of neuroplasticity, the factors that accelerate cognitive aging, and the targeted interventions — both clinical and lifestyle-based — that can prevent, slow, and in some cases reverse cognitive decline. A powerful, empowering talk for any audience concerned about brain health, productivity, or long-term leadership performance.
For healthcare, sports, and human performance audiences, Dr. Fotuhi presents the latest evidence on cognitive recovery from concussion and ADHD management through non-pharmacological brain training approaches. He shares findings from his published clinical research demonstrating that a structured, multidisciplinary intervention program can produce meaningful and measurable improvements in cognitive function — even in patients who have experienced brain injury or struggled with attention disorders for years.
